Community Investment

In addition to working closely with Traditional Owners to provide employment and business development opportunities, we have created enduring relationships with many organisations which are working in the community to improve the lives of thousands of people across Western Australia.

Our aim is to make a positive and lasting difference to the community in the areas of education and young people, health, economic development, environment, arts and culture, social welfare and aid and emergency relief.

Atlas invests in the community through our Community Partnerships program and our Helping Hands grants.

Community Partnerships are multi-year partnerships which are formed when Atlas works with a not for profit organisation to deliver significant outcomes for the community, with a particular focus on communities in the Pilbara.

One of the Community Partnerships Atlas is very proud of is our involvement with Many Rivers, a not-for-profit organisation that supports aspiring business owners with microenterprise development support and access to finance. Over the three years of our partnership Many Rivers has established offices in Port Hedland and assisted dozens of businesses in the Pilbara region, 90% of which are indigenous.

Atlas also actively supports a number of key community events in Port Hedland and Marble Bar including the North West Festival and the Marble Bar Cup and Ball.

Helping Hands grants are one-off grants of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) available to community and not for profit organisations operating in the Pilbara. Grant rounds are held throughout the year.
