Overview

Atlas has an extensive portfolio of projects in Western Australia, primarily in the north and south-east Pilbara area and the Midwest regions. These include established mines, near-term ore reserves and exploration projects ranging from green fields to advanced resources.

Through a sustained commitment to building its Pilbara Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) business, Atlas has grown its mine portfolio and resource inventory through a series of exploration, acquisition and development successes. Atlas has three key production projects being Wodgina, Abydos and Mt Webber.

Atlas’ purpose continues to be to deliver mineral products that create value for all stakeholders including shareholders, customers, suppliers, and the communities in which the Company operates. In order to achieve this goal, Atlas’ strategy is to consolidate its current Pilbara production base with a competitive cost base, and to pursue opportunities through optimising near term production to maximise profitability and cash flow, developing customer and market focused solutions, and maintaining options for growth, should market conditions allow.

In addition to its DSO assets Atlas has a large magnetite project in the Ridley Magnetite Project. Ridley has a 2 billion tonne magnetite resource which includes a 970 million tonne reserve. Pre-feasibility studies have indicated Ridley has the potential to produce 15 million tonnes of high-grade magnetite concentrate per annum for over 30 years.

Any references to exploration targets or current resources should be read in conjunction with the Statement on Exploration Targets and Competent Person Statements in the Resources section of this website.
